BJJ-How to Find an Event to Compete in
So you are ready to do your first Brazilian jiu-jitsu competition but you don’t know how to make sure you are going to a good one. The hardest part about find a BJJ tournament to compete in is finding one that is local. Unless you live in a major American city like New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, etc you’ll have to travel to find to compete. Maryland BJJ competitors travel from the east coast to the west coast just to compete. The best organizations for Brazilian jiu-jitsu are International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF), North American Grappling Association (NAGA), and U.S. Grappling, and Grapplers Quest. Those organizations have competitions around the United States.
